Everyone needs a place to keep their most precious possessions. Hope chests, keepsake boxes and jewelry boxes are just the thing.

Here are several examples of fine box joinery. Most were made as gifts for friends and family, but I welcome your orders for these designs or your own. This kind of joinery is truly a pleasure for me do.

Keepsake Box
This keepsake box is made of solid Russian birch, mahogany veneer and an inlayed banding of purple heart. The relief carving on the lid displays a rose with the owners initials J.F.L.

Keepsake Box 2
This small box is one of my first. It displays hand cut joinery in the form of hidden dovetail joints (only visible from the front of the piece). Made of solid mahogany, with a clear finish.

Hope Chest
This maple hope chest features solid maple, mitered around light Birdseye maple panels. The interior is lined with aromatic cedar. The smell is amazing every time the chest is opened

Jewelry Boxes
These are examples of jewelry boxes currently in production. Phone for ordering details.
Box on left: solid maple, Birdseye maple veneer and, purple heart banding inlays.
Box on right: solid maple, quilted maple veneer and black walnut banding inlays.

Small Toolbox
This small toolbox was made for a friends son. He should get many years of enjoyment out of this useful piece. Baltic birch plywood, with solid mahogany edges.

Beautiful Birdseye Maple Hope Chest lined with Aromatic Cedar.  A perfect Graduation or Wedding Gift.  Notice the all wood hinges (seen in photos accessed by clicking on the chest).
  Cedar Chest

This Keepsake box was made for my niece and features her initials, hand carved in the top.  This hand carving feature is available on all my custom chests and boxes as well as on valances and doors in my custom kitchens.
